  • Start by bringing the milk to a boil in a large saucepan. Once it reaches a boil, remove it from the heat and add the vanilla sugar and mint syrup, stirring well to blend the flavors.
  • In a separate bowl, work the egg yolks with the sugar using an electric or manual whisk until you obtain a clear and frothy mixture.
  • Gently incorporate the flour into the egg mixture, then gradually add the flavored milk, continuing to stir to avoid lumps from forming.
  • Transfer everything back to the saucepan and cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until the cream thickens to the desired consistency.
  • Pour the cream into individual cups and let it cool slightly before placing them in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
  • Serve the well-chilled cups accompanied by crispy wafers.

Notes

For an extra special and even fresher touch, add finely chopped fresh mint leaves to the cream before cooling. This will give a unique intensity to the dessert and naturally decorate your cups.
