Brandy Toddy is the perfect drink to warm up on cold winter nights. Made with brandy, honey, fresh lemon juice, and Angostura, this recipe offers a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, enriched with a bitter touch. Add a hint of cinnamon for a spicy twist.
In a small saucepan, combine the water, honey, and dashes of Angostura. Heat over low heat until the honey is completely dissolved, creating an aromatic base for our Brandy Toddy.
Remove from the heat and add the fresh lemon juice, stirring well to combine all the flavors.
Take a suitable glass to serve the Toddy and fill it with about two tablespoons of crushed ice.
Pour the warm mixture gently over the ice in the glass.
Add the 4 tablespoons of Brandy Stock 84 and stir with a cocktail muddler to slightly cool the drink and allow the flavors to blend perfectly.
Garnish with a twist of lemon, giving an elegant and refreshing final touch to the drink.
Notes
To give an original twist to our Brandy Toddy recipe, add a pinch of ground cinnamon or a whole stick during the honey dissolving process in the water. This will give the drink a spicy aroma that pairs perfectly with the warm notes of brandy.
