Instructions

  • Start by cleaning the mushrooms, removing the less tender parts. Immerse them in water and wash them thoroughly to remove any residual dirt.
  • Prepare a large baking dish, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and a pinch of salt.
  • Arrange the mushrooms in the dish and sprinkle them with a aromatic mix of fresh parsley, crushed garlic, and chili flakes to give a spicy note to the dish.
  • Season each layer of mushrooms with more olive oil, salt, and breadcrumbs to create a golden crust during cooking.
  • Bake the mushrooms at 200°C for about 30 minutes or until they are nicely gratinated on the surface.
  • Once cooked, let them cool slightly before serving as a delicious side dish.

Notes

To add an original touch to the recipe, before baking the mushrooms, sprinkle with grated Parmigiano Reggiano or Pecorino Romano for a more intense flavor and an extra crunchy gratin. Additionally, you can enrich the dish with chopped nuts to add crunchiness and a unique flavor that pairs perfectly with the mushrooms.
