Orange Soufflé Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Oranges (pulp sieved) Orange
  • 60 g of Flour Flour
  • 60 g of Sugar Sugar
  • 3 Eggs (separated into yolks and whites) Egg
  • 200 ml of Milk Milk

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, mix the milk with the flour until smooth and lump-free.
  • Add the sugar and sieved orange pulp to the batter, then cook over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  • Remove from the heat and let it cool slightly before incorporating the egg yolks one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites to stiff peaks with a pinch of salt to stabilize them.
  • Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the orange mixture, being careful not to deflate them.
  • Pour the mixture into a buttered or parchment-lined porcelain baking dish.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes, without ever opening the door during cooking to prevent the soufflé from deflating.
  • Serve immediately after cooking to enjoy its maximum fluffiness.

Notes

For an original and even more aromatic touch, add a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla powder to the batter and garnish the soufflé before serving with candied orange zest or a dusting of powdered sugar.
