Recipe for Taleggio Cheese Strong Cream for Appetizers
The strong Taleggio cheese cream with pine nuts, green pepper, and aromatic herbs is an elegant appetizer perfect for Christmas parties. Complete with bell peppers and zucchini shaped like a star, and serve with crispy biscuit puff pastry. Try the final touch with truffle-flavored extra virgin olive oil.
In a large bowl, combine the Taleggio cheese with the mascarpone until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
Finely chop the fresh green pepper together with thyme, marjoram, and rosemary, then incorporate them into the cheese and mascarpone cream.
Add the pine nuts, reserving a small amount (about a quarter) for the final decoration of the dish.
On a round plate, arrange the cream forming a central circle that will serve as the base for your floral composition.
Wash the red peppers, cut them in half, remove the seeds and internal filaments. Then cut thin strips to simulate the petals of the Christmas star.
Wash the zucchini and create five elongated shapes that will represent some green petals of your floral composition.
Alternately place the strips of red pepper and the zucchini shapes around the center of the cream, giving life to the Christmas star.
Place the remaining pine nuts in the center of the star to complete the decorative effect.
Finally, place the biscuit puff pastries around the strong cream, pressing lightly to make them adhere.
Notes
To give an extra touch to the recipe, add a drizzle of truffle-flavored extra virgin olive oil on top of the cream before serving. This will give an intense and sophisticated aroma that pairs perfectly with the strong taste of Taleggio.
