Instructions

  • Start by bringing the milk and grated dark chocolate to a boil in a large saucepan.
  • Once the chocolate has completely melted and the milk starts to boil, remove the saucepan from the heat.
  • In another saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the sugar to the melted butter and mix well to incorporate it.
  • Immediately after, add the sifted flour, stirring vigorously with a wooden spoon to avoid lumps from forming.
  • Dilute the mixture with some of the chocolate milk that you previously heated, continue stirring to obtain a smooth and homogeneous cream.
  • Gradually pour the remaining chocolate milk into the saucepan, stirring constantly to maintain a uniform consistency.
  • Cook the cream over low heat until it begins to thicken and shows the first signs of boiling.
  • Immediately remove from the heat to prevent sticking or lumps from forming, and pour the mixture into a mold previously wet with cold water.
  • Allow the pudding to cool to room temperature before transferring it to the refrigerator for at least 3 hours to set perfectly.
  • Before serving, briefly dip the mold in hot water, dry it, and turn it over onto a serving plate.

Notes

To give a special touch to the classic dark chocolate pudding recipe, add a sprinkle of chili powder to the milk while heating it with the dark chocolate. The chili will further enhance the intense flavor of the chocolate and add a pleasant warmth that will surprise your guests!
