Boil the potatoes, peel them, and mash them in a potato masher.
Mix the flour, eggs, melted butter, Parmesan cheese, a little nutmeg, salt and pepper to the potato mixture.
Form balls with the resulting mixture.
Bring plenty of salted water to a boil and cook the gnocchi until they rise to the surface.
Drain the gnocchi with a skimmer and transfer to a buttered baking dish.
Drizzle the gnocchi with cream and bake them in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 15 minutes.
Notes
For an even richer variation, you can add a little grated cheese to the cream before drizzling over the gnocchi. This will give a more intense flavor and an irresistible golden crust.
